Charity Hicks 
Charity was born about 1690.1 Charity's father was Thomas Hicks and her mother was Mary Doughty. Her paternal grandparents were John Hicks and Herodotus Long; her maternal grandparents were Elias Doughty and Sarah Unknown. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Isaac, Benjamin, Benjamin, William, William, Charles, Stephen, Stephen, Charity and Mary. She was the third youngest of the eleven children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas, John, Jacob, Mary, Phebe, Sarah and Elizabeth. She died on February 14th, 1767 in Flushing, NY.1 General Notes

--In the name of God, Amen. I, CHARITY HICKS, of Flushing, being in perfect health. "I leave to Mary Hicks, the natural daughter of my brother, Stephen Hicks, œ18, to purchase one dozen silver spoons." All the rest of my worldly goods I leave to my nephew, Thomas Hicks, son of my brother, Stephen Hicks, and I make him executor. Dated this -- day of March, 1762. Witnesses, Benjamin Hicks, Benjamin Hicks, Jr., Stephen Van Wyck. Proved, February 14, 1767.
