The connection of the whole line of descent from this Benjamin 3 is conjectural!!!! I think this son of Thomas Hicks and Mary Doughty, Benjamin 3, had to have had a son Benjamin 4 ? However I have no definitive information about a wife or any children for him at present. We have a "Benjamin Hicks, Jr", as the executor of the will of Isaac Hicks in 1745. (Unless the "Jr" merely means the younger of two, not necessarily a son - then it could mean Benjamin 3's nephew, son of his brother, Isaac.) This supposed son, Benjamin 4, may also be the Benjamin who married Elizabeth Rodman and then probably Sarah Hicks. Henshaw says the Benjamin of this marriage was the son of "Benjamin of Westbury." At present these marriages, and the lines of descent from them, are connected to a Benjamin 4, here -- but they could be connected to Benjamin 4, son of Issac 3. The existence of another son, Charles 4, husband of Hannah Rodman, is also conjectural, deriving primarily from the will of Thomas Rodman, father of both Elizabeth and Hannah.
