Mary was born on August 13th, 1643.1   Mary's father was John Whitcomb and her mother was Frances Cogan.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry Cogan and Joane Boridge. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Josiah, James, Job, John, Jonathan, Robert, Catherine, Abigail and Joane.
