Abigail was born in 1632.  Abigail's father was John Whitcomb and her mother was Frances Cogan.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry Cogan and Joane Boridge. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Josiah, James, Job, John, Jonathan, Robert, Catherine, Mary and Joane.
