Lucinda was born on March 9th, 1859 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Lucinda's father was Samuel Henry Hargrove and her mother was Lucinda Killebrew. Her paternal grandparents were Duncan Hargrove and Sally Land; her maternal grandparents were Joshua Killebrew and Sarah Killebrew. She had three brothers and four sisters, named George S., William H., Robert Gray, Mary, Lucy, Prudence and Sallie. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
