Edward , the Black Prince was born on June 15th, 1330 in Woodstock Palace,Woodstock,Oxfordshire,England.1   Edward , the Black Prince's father was Edward III, King England and his mother was Countess, Queen of England Philippa Hainault.  His paternal grandparents were Edward II, King England and Isabelle, Princess Of France; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume III de Avesnes and Jeanne de Valois. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Edward "The Black", Lionel, John "Of Gaunt" of, Edmund "of Langley", Thomas , 1st Duke of Gloucester, William of Windsor, William of Hatfield, JOHN of , 1st Duke of Lancaster, Isabella, Mary, Margaret, Joanna of Woodstock and Blanche.  He died at the age of 45 on June 8th, 1376 in Westminster Palace,Westminster,Middlesex,England.  He was buried in Canterbury Cathedral,Canterbury,Kent,England.1 2
