Etienne I "Tete-Hardi De was born about 1055 in ,,Bourgogue,France.  Etienne I "Tete-Hardi De's father was Guillaume I "The Great" of Bourgogne Count/Bourgogne and his mother was Stephanie de Longwy.  His paternal grandparents were Renaud I Count Palatine of Burgundy and Judith Alice of Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Adalbert III de Longwy C of Longwy and Clemence de Foix. He had two sisters named Ermentrude of and Sibylle de.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Raymond de, Giselle Countess of and Clemence De.  He died on May 27th, 1102 in Rama,Palestine (1St Crusade).
