Philip's father was Frederick I "Barbarossa" Holy Roman Empire and his mother was Beatrix Holy Roman Empire.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick II the One-Eyed von Hohenstaufen Duke of Swabia and Judith Princess of Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Renaud III Count of Burgundy and Agatha of Lorraine. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Friedrich V, Heinrich VI Emperor of the, Otto, Konrad II, Philip II Of, Beatrix Of and Agnes.  He died on June 21st, 1208 in Bamberg.
