Richard was born in 1259 in Plantation of Ulster,Donegal,Ulster,Ireland.1   Richard's father was Walter de Burgh and his mother was Avelina FITZJOHN.  His paternal grandparents were Richard De Burgh Lord Connacht and Egidia Giles (Jill) De Lacy; his maternal grandparents were John FitzGeoffrey , Justiciar of Ireland, Sir and Isabel , Countess of Essex Bigod. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard The Red Earl of, William and Egidia (Giles).  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died before August 29th, 1326 in Athassel Monestary,Tipperary,Munster,Ireland.  He was buried on August 29th, 1326 in Athassel Monestary,Tipperary,Munster,Ireland.1 1 


Richard's first family with Margaret de Burgh Countess of Ulster

‌Richard and Margaret de were married in a religious ceremony before February 27th, 1280 in ,Lanvalay,Connaght,Ireland.1   They had four sons and seven daughters, named Walter De, John de, Thomas De, Edmund de, Aveline, Eleanor, Elizabeth de, Maud (Matilda) De, Katherine De, Joan De and Elizabeth.
