Ralph was born about 1134 in South Perthton,Somersetshire,England. Ralph's father was William II D'Aubigny Earl of Arundel and his mother was Maud (Matilda) De Saint Hillary. His paternal grandparents were William , Earl of Arundel 1st D'Aubigny and Adeliza Of Brabant Queen of Englaand; his maternal grandparents were James Du Harcourt De Saint Hilary and Aveline Ales Canamor of Scotland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, William IV, Avice (Agnes) and Cecily. He was the oldest of the five children. He had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Richard, Roger, James, John, Henry, Elena, Mabel FitzPatrick, Eveline (Aveline), Isabelle, Marie and Blanche. He died about 1192 in Acre,Holy Land.-
