Lilla May was born on September 1st, 1891 in AL.1 Lilla May's father was Stephen McDonald Rushing and her mother was Martha Sylvester Edwards. Her paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William Jack, Herbert H., Eddie Oscar, Grover Cleveland, Earnest J., Lavenia S., Alma P., Lenora L. and Dona Carl. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 98 on November 22nd, 1989 in AL. She was buried in Clayhill Cemetery, Pike Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
