Mattie Miller 
Mattie was born on March 5th, 1897 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Mattie's father was Eli Walter Miller and her mother was Mollie Dee Adams. Her paternal grandparents were John McBride, Jr. Miller and Martha Ann Logan; her maternal grandparents were Simon M. Adams and Martha Ann McEwen. She had three brothers and a sister, named John Sim, Eli Walter, Jr., Mack Adams and Mary Moss. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 34 on April 8th, 1931 in AL. She was buried in Rockford Cemetery, Rockford, Coos Co., AL.1 1 -

the happy marriage of Miss Mattie Miller to Col. Flex L. Smith Jr., on
April 29 in Birmingham.
Col. Smith is a young lawyer with a bright future before him. Mrs.
Smith was the pretty stenographer and bookkeeper in the office W. B.
