William Mastin Hinson 
William Mastin was born on October 14th, 1866 in Troy, Pike Co., AL.1 William Mastin's father was Mastin Asbury Hinson and his mother was Lucinda S. Rushing. His paternal grandparents were William Hinson and Martha Ann Pugh; his maternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Martin, John Elbert, Joseph Richard, Jesse Cleveland, Carrie Lee Ola, Fannie Lou and Pollie. He was the oldest of the eight children.
