William Lewis Hill 
William Lewis was born on July 3rd, 1867 in Old Waverly, Walker Co., TX.1 William Lewis' father was James Adam Hill and his mother was Mary Elmore Lewis. His paternal grandparents were John Hill and Sarah Taylor; his maternal grandparents were Hamlin Freeman Lewis and Mary Martin Elmore. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Elmore, Hamlin Lewis, James Albert, Joseph Robertson, Franklin Harper, Mary Scott, Lucy, Sue, Elmore and Lilea. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 69 on June 8th, 1937 in Houston, Harris Co., TX.1 -
