Surley Druiah Grimes 
Surley Druiah was born on June 25th, 1889.1 Surley Druiah's father was James Shorter Grimes and his mother was Malissa Tillis. His paternal grandparents were John William Grimes and Julia Ann Garrett. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named John Temple, James Robert, Joshua Franklin, Eugene Augusta, Horace Spurgein, Clem Euriah, Morgan Sanford, Lillian Leona, Fannie Malissa, Julia Evelyn, Mary Elizabeth, Cynthia Susan and Ellen Shorter. He was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. He had a half-brother named Horace Spurgeon.-
