Horace Spurgeon Grimes

Horace Spurgeon was born on December 6th, 1895.¹   Horace Spurgeon's mother was Malissa Tillis. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named John Temple, James Robert, Joshua Franklin, Surley Druiah, Eugene Augusta, Horace Spurgein, Clem Euriah, Morgan Sanford, Lillian Leona, Fannie Malissa, Julia Evelyn, Mary Elizabeth, Cynthia Susan and Ellen Shorter.  He was the oldest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 77 on May 4th, 1973.  He was buried in Danley Cemetery, Coffee County, Alabama.^1 1 

They had a son and a daughter, named James Edwin and Mary Annie.
