John Taylor Elmore 
John Taylor was born on February 7th, 1828 in Columbia, SC.1 John Taylor's father was Franklin Harper Elmore and his mother was Harriet Chesnut Taylor. His paternal grandparents were John Archer Elmore and Mary Ann Sarah Saxon; his maternal grandparents were John Taylor and Sarah Cantey Chesnut. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Franklin Harper, Jr., Albert Rhett, Sally Cantey, Harriet Chestnut, Mary Singleton, Ellen Sophia, Caroline Cornelia, Harriet Chestnut, Grace Brown, Mary Susan and Rosa Ann. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 2 on August 7th, 1830 in SC.1 -
