Walter Claude was born on February 17th, 1898 in Hanover, Coosa Co., AL.1 Walter Claude's father was Edward P. Dobson and his mother was Martha Ann Murphy. His paternal grandparents were Rainer B. Dobson and Harriet Ann Carlisle; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Alexander Murphy and Tullelah Belle Adams. He had three brothers and three sisters, named M. Clyde, George, Clavys, Annie Belle, Hattie E. and Cleo. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 80 on February 28th, 1978 in AL. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Sylacauga, Talladega Co., AL.1 1 -
