I thought some of you may recognize some of these folks from the
Sylacauga area. Jean Hoag lives in Anderson SC---- her brother Judson
Darden used to run Darden Furniture Store near SHS in Sylacauga. Jean's
father and grand father was the HOWARD's who were mayors in Sylacauga. I
think that Jean's father was a Donnie Lackey. Jean worked in the
Sylacauga High School about 1961 when I graduated---- I think an uncle or
relative of her's was a Steven
(Stephen) Darden -- I sent her a picture taken at the 1935 Rotary Club
Meeting at the Old Firetower in Weogufka printed in the Sylacauga Today
