Her paternal grandparents were Moses Darden and Nancy Wynne; her maternal grandparents were H. Alexander Logan and Martha Ann Smith. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James, Frank, John Alexander, William Stephen, Arthur Addison, Joseph Hubbard, Martha Jane, Mary Eliza, Sara Virginia and Amanda Belle. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 69 on March 18th, 1929 in Coosa Co., AL.
