Martha Elizabeth was born on July 13th, 1909 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Martha Elizabeth's father was John Austin Darden and her mother was Vashti Olie Sellers. Her paternal grandparents were John Alexander Darden and Georgia Elizabeth Webb; her maternal grandparents were Sampson Elija Sellers and Martha Jane Johnston. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Eschol Sampson, John Austin, Jr., Norman Delmas, Mabel Clara and Jewel Olie. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 87 on October 22nd, 1996 in Alexander City, AL.1 General Notes
