Sarah Frances was born on August 26th, 1822 in Bertie Co., NC.1 Sarah Frances' father was John Hardy Cobb and her mother was Harriet W. Castellaw. Her paternal grandparents were John Cobb and Sarah Capehart; her maternal grandparents were John Dawson Castellaw and Zilpha Spruill. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Alexander, Leonard Decatur, John Charles Warren, William Thomas, Monroe Clinton, Simon Amherst, Robert Davis, Zilphia, Mourning Adeline and Harriet Ann Justina. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 73 on May 2nd, 1896 in ?.1 -
