Leonard Decatur was born on November 9th, 1825 in Bertie Co., NC.1 Leonard Decatur's father was John Hardy Cobb and his mother was Harriet W. Castellaw. His paternal grandparents were John Cobb and Sarah Capehart; his maternal grandparents were John Dawson Castellaw and Zilpha Spruill. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Alexander, John Charles Warren, William Thomas, Monroe Clinton, Simon Amherst, Robert Davis, Sarah Frances, Zilphia, Mourning Adeline and Harriet Ann Justina. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 80 on April 9th, 1906 in ?.1 -
