Mourning Adeline was born on March 15th, 1838 in Haywood Co., TN.1 Mourning Adeline's father was John Hardy Cobb and her mother was Harriet W. Castellaw. Her paternal grandparents were John Cobb and Sarah Capehart; her maternal grandparents were John Dawson Castellaw and Zilpha Spruill. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Alexander, Leonard Decatur, John Charles Warren, William Thomas, Monroe Clinton, Simon Amherst, Robert Davis, Sarah Frances, Zilphia and Harriet Ann Justina. She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 38 on August 30th, 1876 in ?.1 -
