Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert was born about 1130 in Clare, Suffolk, Eng.  Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert's father was 1st Earl Of Pembroke Gilbert "Strongbow" De Gilbert De Clare Earl Of 1st Earl Of Pembroke/Clare and his mother was Isabel (Elizabeth) De Beaumont.  His paternal grandparents were Gilbert Fitz Richard De Clare [Earl Hertford] and Adeliza De Clermont; his maternal grandparents were Robert Earl Of Beaumont 1st Earl Of Leicester/Leicester and Isabel Elizabeth De Vermandois. He had a brother and two sisters, named Baldwin De, Agnes De and Basilia De.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died on April 20th, 1176 in Dublin, Leinster, Ireland.  He was buried in Holy Trinity Chu, Dublin, Leinster, Ireland.
