He had a brother and a sister, named Arnold II Count of and BERTHA.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Hermann Count of, Gozelon I Duke of Lower, Frederick de, Godefroi III, Duc de, Adelheid of, Adelheid of, Regilla Ermentrude, Regilla de, Gerberge of and Ermentrude de.
