Eustace de was born about 1005 in Tonsburgh, Normandy, France. Eustace de's father was Jean de Conteville , Viscount of Comyn. His paternal grandparents were Baudouin III Count of Flanders and MAHAUD BILLUNG SAXONY COUNTESS FLANDER. He had two brothers and a sister, named Harlevin Viscount de, EUSTACE DE and ODA DE.
