Elnathan Pepper 
Elnathan was born on January 2nd, 1842 in Ostage, Allegany Co, NY. Elnathan's father was Jacob Riley Pepper and his mother was Susan Taylor. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John, Stephen V., Philetus, Jacob Riley, Betsy, Emaline, Clarissa, Lovina, Aurillia, Susan and Mary Lucinda. He was the third youngest of the twelve children.
