John William Mitchell 
John William was born in 1859 in Lafayette, Ar. John William's father was Joseph Sanford Mitchell and his mother was Caroline Emily Odom. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Man Mitchell and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Asa Odom and Louisa Vicey Waller. He had seven brothers, and also four siblings of unknown gender named James Anderson, Thomas L, Francis I, Elijah Washington, Ambrose Yates, Joseph, Walton Jacob, Mitchell, Mitchell, Mitchell and Mitchell. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died about 1895 in Hardin, Tx.-
