William De Clare

William was born in 1224. William's father was Richard De Clare and his mother was Maud De Burgh. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert De Clare and Isabelle Marshall; his maternal grandparents were Lord Hubert De Burgh Of Kent and Princess Margaret De Huntington Of Scotland. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert, Thomas, Adeliza, Agnes, Roese and Margaret. He was the oldest of the seven children.
