William II, known as The Protector, was born in 1144 in PEMBROKE,WALES.1   The Protector's father was William I (The Protector) Marshall and his mother was Lady Agnes De Meschines.  His paternal grandparents were John (The Marshall) Marshall and Lady Sybil De Salisbury.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 75 on May 19th, 1219 in CAVERSHAM MANOR,ENGLAND.  He was buried in May 1219 in ROUND CHAPEL OF KNIGHT'S TEMPLE,LONDON.1 1 


The Protector's first family with Countess Isabel De Clare Of Strigoil

‌The Protector and Isabel were married in a religious ceremony in August 1189 in LONDON,MIDDLESEX,ENGLAND.1   They had five sons and five daughters, named William III, Richard, Gilbert, Walter, Anselm, Maud Matilda, Sibilla, Eva, Isabelle and Joane.
