Louis IV, known as The Exiled, was born in Laon,Champagne.1   The Exiled's father was King Charles III Carolingian Of France and his mother was Princess  Elgiva De Wessex Of Saxon England.  His paternal grandfather was King Louis II Carolingian Of France; his maternal grandparents were King Edward I (The Elder) De Wessex Of West Saxon England and Eadgifu De Kent. He had a sister named Alpais.  He died in Abbaye de St. Raemy,Reims,Champagne.1 


The Exiled's family with Princess Gerberga De Saxony Of The Holy Roman Empire

‌The Exiled and Gerberga were married in a religious ceremony in 0939.2   They had three sons and two daughters, named The Pious, Lothair, Charles, Hildegarde and Matilda.
