Louis II was born in France.  Louis II's father was Emperor Charles II (The Bald) Carolingian Of The Holy Roman Empire, King Of France and his mother was Lady Ermentrude De Orleans.  His paternal grandparents were Emperor Louis I (The Pious) Carolingian Of The Holy Roman Empire, King Of Aquitaine and Judith (The Fair) De Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Count Odo De Swabia Of Orleans and Engeltrude De Paris. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Carloman, Charles, Judith, Hersent and Rothilde. He had a half-sister named Rothilde.  He died in Compiaegne,Neustria.
