Rothilde was born about 0871.  Rothilde's father was Emperor Charles II (The Bald) Carolingian Of The Holy Roman Empire, King Of France and her mother was Richildis De Metz.  Her paternal grandparents were Emperor Louis I (The Pious) Carolingian Of The Holy Roman Empire, King Of Aquitaine and Judith (The Fair) De Bavaria. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Louis II, Carloman, Charles, Judith, Hersent and Rothilde.
