Elgiva was born about 0912 in England.1   Elgiva's father was King Edward I (The Elder) De Wessex Of West Saxon England and her mother was Eadgifu De Kent.  Her paternal grandparents were King Alfred (The Great) De Wessex West Saxon England and Lady Alswitha Ethelswida Of The Gaini; her maternal grandparents were Aethelhelm Wiltshire and Aethelgyth FitzEthelwulf Of Mercia. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Edwin, Aelfweard, The Magnificent, Eadred, Gregory, Edgifu, Edhild Eadhyde, Editha, Aethelflaeda and Edburga.  She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Aethelstan, Alfred, Emilienne and Edith.  She died after 0953.1 


Elgiva's first family with King Charles III Carolingian Of France

‌Elgiva and Charles III were married in a religious ceremony in 0905 in England.  They had a son and a daughter, named The Exiled and Alpais.
