Edmund I, known as The Magnificent, was born in 0923 in Wessex,England.1   The Magnificent's father was King Edward I (The Elder) De Wessex Of West Saxon England and his mother was Eadgifu De Kent.  His paternal grandparents were King Alfred (The Great) De Wessex West Saxon England and Lady Alswitha Ethelswida Of The Gaini; his maternal grandparents were Aethelhelm Wiltshire and Aethelgyth FitzEthelwulf Of Mercia. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Edwin, Aelfweard, Eadred, Gregory, Edgifu, Edhild Eadhyde, Editha, Elgiva, Aethelflaeda and Edburga.  He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Aethelstan, Alfred, Emilienne and Edith.  He died  due to Stabbed at a banquet to St Augustine by an outlaw, Leolf in Pucklechurch,Dorset,England.  He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey,Somersetshire,England.2
