Joseph Whipkey 
Joseph was born on September 7th, 1817.1 Joseph's father was Henry B Whipkey and his mother was Elizabeth Keefer. His paternal grandparents were John Jacob Whipkey and Elizabeth Hurraw; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Kieffer and Elizabeth (Kieffer). He had six brothers and six sisters, named David, Henry B, Johnathon H, Solomon, Simon, Abraham Marion, Elizabeth, Hannah, Eva Ann, Marian, Joanna and Anna Elizabeth. He was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children.General Notes
