Abraham Marion was born on August 7th, 1823.1 Abraham Marion's father was Henry B Whipkey and his mother was Elizabeth Keefer. His paternal grandparents were John Jacob Whipkey and Elizabeth Hurraw; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Kieffer and Elizabeth (Kieffer). He had six brothers and six sisters, named David, Henry B, Johnathon H, Solomon, Joseph, Simon, Elizabeth, Hannah, Eva Ann, Marian, Joanna and Anna Elizabeth.
