Richard Whitaker

Richard was born in 1720 in ,Warwick, VA.¹   Richard's father was John Whitaker and his mother was Martha Gough.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Whitaker and Elizabeth Pyland; his maternal grandparents were William Gough and Alice Thacker. He had six brothers and a sister, named Robert, James, John, Gough, Dudley, William and Martha.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 74 in 1794 in ,Halifax, NC.¹
