Dudley Whitaker

Dudley was born in 1740 in Of, Halifax, NC.¹   Dudley's father was John Whitaker and his mother was Martha Gough.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Whitaker and Elizabeth Pyland; his maternal grandparents were William Gough and Alice Thacker. He had six brothers and a sister, named Robert, Richard, James, John, Gough, William and Martha.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1791.¹
