Gough Whitaker

Gough was born about 1734 in ,Of, NC.¹   Gough's father was John Whitaker and his mother was Martha Gough.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Whitaker and Elizabeth Pyland; his maternal grandparents were William Gough and Alice Thacker. He had six brothers and a sister, named Robert, Richard, James, John, Dudley, William and Martha.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died in 1772 in ,Of, NC.¹
