Mary Agnes was born on May 19th, 1857 in ,Pike, Alabama.1 Mary Agnes' father was William Lane Spears and her mother was Mary Agnes Clark Nelson. Her paternal grandparents were Bird Booker Spier and Mary Payton; her maternal grandparents were John Nelson and Sarah Y. Clark. She had four brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Benjamin Booker, Thomas Jones, William Henry, David Atlas, Patience Elizabeth, Sarah Elizabeth and Alabama Y.. She was the youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 81 on June 14th, 1938 in ,Bastrop, TX.1 -
