James Spears

James was born about 1700 in Nansemond County, Virginia.¹ James' father was James Spears and his mother was Ann Doughtie. His paternal grandparents were John Spears and Joan Mendenhall; his maternal grandfather was Doughtie. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Mourning and Sarah. He died in 1761 in Edgecombe Co., NC.¹
