Benjamin Booker was born about 1842 in Of, Pike, Alabama.1 Benjamin Booker's father was William Lane Spears and his mother was Mary Agnes Clark Nelson. His paternal grandparents were Bird Booker Spier and Mary Payton; his maternal grandparents were John Nelson and Sarah Y. Clark. He had three brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Thomas Jones, William Henry, David Atlas, Patience Elizabeth, Sarah Elizabeth, Mary Agnes and Alabama Y.. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died on January 21st, 1862 in ,Mobile, Alabama.1 -
