Joshua Phipps 
Joshua was born on February 24th, 1801 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Joshua's father was William Phipps and his mother was Sarah Erwin. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Phipps and Hester Aston; his maternal grandparents were Edward Erwin and Mary. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Edward Ervin, William Pitt, James Surguine, Thomas Milligan, Wesley Asbury, Fletcher Watson, Mary, Hester Or Hattie Aston, Elizabeth Sarah, Margaret, Wilma Or Willie Ann and Sarah Jane. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 60 in July 1861 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 -
