Benjamin D. Moody

Benjamin D. was born on June 7th, 1861 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹ Benjamin D.'s father was William Hunt Moody and his mother was Byer Whaley. His paternal grandparents were George Moody and Hannah Pope; his maternal grandparents were Lester Whaley and Sarah. He had six brothers named Dewitt Clinton, George E., Thomas S., Joseph W., Wesley and Bluford T.. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Adam L., James C., John A., William Lane, Martha Edna, Frances E., Mary Jane and Hannah Ellen. He died at the age of 49 on August 4th, 1910.¹
