Adam L. Moody

Adam L. was born on March 15th, 1828 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹ Adam L.'s father was William Hunt Moody and his mother was Mary Edna Childress. His paternal grandparents were George Moody and Hannah Pope; his maternal grandfather was William Burton Childress. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James C., John A., William Lane, Martha Edna, Frances E., Mary Jane and Hannah Ellen. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had seven half-brothers named Dewitt Clinton, George E., Thomas S., Joseph W., Wesley, Benjamin D. and Bluford T.. He died at the age of 70 on January 18th, 1899.¹
