Charles Riley Combest 
Charles Riley was born on March 18th, 1882 in Shelby County, Illinois.1 Charles Riley's father was Commadore Perry Combest and his mother was Abigail Frances Wood. His paternal grandparents were James Combest and Nancy Bowmer; his maternal grandparents were Ransom Wood and Susan Taylor. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named James Allen, Robert Eugene, William Ransom, Willard Perry, Albert Galatan, Arthur Cleveland, George Washington, Gilla Frances, Lillian May and Anna Gertrude. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He had three half-sisters named Ida May, Clara Bell and Ceilia Anna. He died due to Heart attack at the age of 53 on June 28th, 1935 in Pana, Illinois.1 General Notes
