Mary Spears 
Mary was born in 1835 in North Carolina. Mary's father was Kindred Spears and her mother was Sylvester Brantley. Her paternal grandfather was Willis Spears. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James, William, Joseph, Rebecca and Sarah. She was the second oldest of the six children.-
