James Spears 
James was born in 1832 in North Carolina. James' father was Kindred Spears and his mother was Sylvester Brantley. His paternal grandfather was Willis Spears. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Joseph, Mary, Rebecca and Sarah. He was the oldest of the six children.-
